Located in the southwest of China, Chongqing is one of the largest city in China and has a population of about 32 million people. From 1997 Chongqing is one of four municipalities in China, under the direct control of national government. Chongqing is also famous as starting point for spectacular boat cruise along the Yangtze River by way of the Three Gorges Dam. Another of the most familiar images in the world is the Buddhist Dazu Rock Carvings, at a distance of about 3 hours, but always in the Chongqing Municipality. The traditional Chinese festivals (Spring Festival, Lantern Festival) in Chongqing become particularly lively and colorful. The city is easily accessible thanks to its busy airport and its railway that are well connected with other major Chinese cities. Its also secured a long-distance bus connection. The humid subtropical climate of Chongqing is influenced by the monsoons. Attractions: Ci Qi Kuo, the Yangtze River Cruise, the Northern Hot Springs Park, here you can taste a wonderful panoramic area which includes temples, hills, water, forests, springs, gorges and caves.
