Ningbo: brief description for tourists who wish to visit Ningbo In the eastern of China, it is situated Ningbo, a seaport in the Zhejiang Province, known also as one of the oldest city in China. Ningbo is famous for its various historical temple and a strong connections with Buddhist. The climate in Ningbo is a subtropical climate moonson, that has a hot and humid weather. The main attractions of Ningbo are the buddhist Baugou Temple, the Qita Temple, the Xiantong Pagoda and the Tianfeng Pagoda, the tallest and ancient structure landmark in Ningbo, situated in the center of the city. Very interesting also the Tianyi Pavilion, the oldest private library existent in China. Has a collection of about 300.000 volumes and lot of rare books. Other attraction is the Yandang Mountain, listed in the top 10 that must see mountains in China. Covering an area of 450 square kilometers, Mount Yandang (also famous for breathtaking tops, cascades and grottoes) has been nominated Geopark by UNESCO in 2005.
