Gulangyu Island
The most popular tourist attraction in Xuiamen, Gulangyu Island on the coast of Xiamen city is fondly known as the “garden on the Sea”. The island is the beautiful place with around 20,000 residents living a healthy and quite life here. The island got its name because of the sound of the ocean waves hitting the huge reef that is like beating of a drum. The island also has historical reasons and is called "Architecture Exhibition of Ten Thousand Nations". Being home to only piano museum of China, it is known as “Island of Piano”. When on this island, you will enjoy attractions like Sunlight Rock, Shuzhuang Garden, Yu Park, Bright Moon Garden and Museum.
Islet-Ring Road
One of the best attractions in Xiamen, the Islet-Ring Road is built around sea in the southeast of Xiamen Island. Within its 31 km stretch, it passes through the Yanwu Bridge, Hulishan canon platform, as well as Wuyuan Bay and airport. It was built specially as the racetrack for Xiamen’s annual International Marathon and it connects several popular tourists’ attractions such as Shangli reservoir and the exhibition center. It includes 9 km that is called “golden coastline” that includes immense opportunities for tourism and entertainment. On east section of ring road, there are statues of 97 marathon athletes. When you look from a distance, you will experience a unique kind of beautiful landscape.
Shuzhuang Garden
Known for its highly enchanting landscape, the Shuzhuang Garden is high on tourism charts. If you love to spend time in the lap of pristine nature, visiting this garden should be your priority. Snuggled between the ocean and cliff, this garden is located on the south of Gulangyu Island. On east is situated Guanhai Garden Traveling Village and on the west enjoy on the Gangzihou Bathing Beach. The garden has two sections with their own unique beauty; the Garden of Hiding the Sea (Canghaiyuan) and the Garden of Making-Up Hills (Bushanyuan).
Yong Ding Hakka Earth Buildings
Located at several places in southern part of Longyan area in Fujian Province, these Yong Ding Hakka Earth Buildings are excellent example of ancient Chinese architecture. These structures make a decent tourist attraction for their grandiose style, exquisite layout and rich history. All these structures are either round or square because they are based on the philosophy that heaven is round and earth is square. Among all such buildings, Zhencheng Building is the most attractive.
Jimei Turtle Garden
Built during 1950s, the Jimei Turtle Garden covers an area of around 9,000 square kilometers. The park is situated on the southeastern tip of the town and has three main sections namely the portico, the Monument of Liberation, and Tan’s Mausoleum. The Portico has many hundreds of interesting carvings. The carefully designed architecture and carvings are based on the themes of astronomy and geography, industrial and agricultural production.
