Wuxi: brief description for tourists who wish to visit Wuxi
In the east of China, its located Wuxi (population of over 6,3 million), an old city in Jiangsu Province, bordering Chanzhou to the west and Suzhou to the east. Autumn, is the best season to visit the beautiful city of Wuxi. One of the most precious landmarks in Wuxi is the Taihu Lake, one the most famous attraction and the 3rd largest fresh water lake in China. On the shores of Taihu Lake you can find a lot of gardens, resorts and many scenic views. Other famous attractions: the Plum Garden (one of the best places for viewing plum blossoms), The Three Kingdom City (in the southwest suburb of Wuxi. It is one of the most important place for tourists destination), the Sea of Bamboo (at West of the Tai Lake in Yixing) attracts visitors with its wide bamboo forest, 120 square miles rise and fall with the surrounding hills. Jiangyin also has several magnificent parks with themes that provide information about Chinese history. Jiangyin, at north of the Wuxi city, is the hometown of ancient popular scholars, among which Xu Xiake (a famous traveler and geographer of ancient China).
