Emeishan: brief description for tourists who wish to visit Emeishan Mt. Emei is one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China, shared between Taoism and Chinese Buddhism. The patron Bodhisattva of Emei is Samantabhadra, known in Chinese as Puxian. Some of the Buddhist and Taoist monasteries associated with the mountain were also known for the training of traditional Chinese martial arts. |
