Qiqihar City, located southwest of Songnen Plain, Heilongjiang Province. Bordering on Suihua city in the Northeast, bordering on Daqing City in the Southeast, bordering on Baicheng City, Jilin Province in the South, bordering on Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Hulunbeir in the West, bordering on Heihe City in the North. 359 km from the provincial capital Harbin city, 328 km from the Suihua City, 139 km from Daqing, 282 km from Baicheng City, 524km from Hulunbeir (Hailar district), 483 km from the Heihe city. Geological structure belongs to the junction between new Huaxia Series Second Sedimentation Region and third upheaval Region, Nenjiang River fracture through the entire plain territory. Topography is high in the north, lower in the south, north and east is Xiaoxing'an Mountain, central and southern is Nenjiang Alluvium Plain.
