Huangshi City is located in southeast Hubei Province, south bank of the Yangtze River. Lying at the foot of mountains and beside rivers, the city boasts its picturesque environment. It lies northeast to the Yangtze River, east to the golden channel of the Yangtze River opposite Xishui County, Qichun County and Wuxue City, north to E'zhou City, west to Wuchang County, southwest to Xianning City and Tongshan County, southeast to Wuning County and Ruichang County of Jiangxi Province.
