Daxinanling: brief description for tourists who wish to visit Daxinanling
Great Khingan locates at north frontier of China, with a whole length of 1220 kilometers, and a width of 200 to 300 kilometers. The luxuriant primitive forest here is a significant forestry base in our country. The main tree types here include: Khingan Dahurian larch, Pinus sylvestris, red skin spruce, birch, Mongolian oak tree, Populus davidiana Dode and so on. This immense green ocean has also been home for over 1000 types of wildings and 400 types of rare birds and animals like Sika, brown bear, sable, snow hare and so on for many generations, and is therefore a treasure land as a wide life park and wild plants garden at high latitude region of our country.
The Great Khingan in spring, is filled with vital force with cuckoo spreading all over the mountain and ravine; in summer, the emerald green forest is an excellent summer resort and also an ideal place for appreciating the beauty of polar night; in autumn, the forest get all colored, and the sky is clear and fresh. The beauty of "Wuhua Mountain" is accompanied by joyance of harvest with pearls of bilberry (Red Bean of north China) and various kinds of rare herb spreading all over the mountain: the Great Khingan in winter is even poetic, thousands of acres of forest is dressed all in white, and the evergreen Beauty Pine standing against the pure and crystal ice world make the human beings suddenly realize the mighty power of the nature. |
