Suzhou is an important city, located at the east of China in the southeast of Jiangsu Province, with a population of about 7 million people. More precisely, it lies in the lower reach of the Yangtze River and on the shores of Taihu Lake. Suzhou is an old city with more than 2,500 years of history, very famous for its gardens, its architecture and its canals.
