Introduction: The Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai represents Finland in eastern China. Its jurisdiction comprises of the city of Shanghai and the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Zhejiang. Shanghai is one of the main locomotives of China's economy and the area has been witnessing rapid economic development and internationalization over the recent years. The Consulate General monitors the area's economic and political development. In cooperation with other organizations, the Consulate General seeks to promote Finland and further develop commercial, economic and cultural relations between Finland and China.
